Newbie First: A Checklist

| Greetings,
I'm running my first Web conference tomorrow and think I have anything
with Flash Comm in working order. However, there are going to be more
people participating than I originally thought (one video window but
many viewers).
Anyone care to put out a general checklist of things I should think
about before my big day?
Thanks,
Michael Cervieri

| Mike,
For hosting, please check your licences if they have the bandwidth available
that you intend to consume. Most people overlook it when they have more
users than they have thought about...

| Michael,
I'd put in a little bandwidth window to see how much BW is being
consumed. I'm sure you know that each new subscriber generates a new
stream, unlike a radio broadcast, and as each new participant joins,
you can see the amount of BW fcs is using. Most of it will be BW out
since you're sending one stream. If your app starts going belly up,
you'll know if it's the amount of BW or some other problem.
HTH,
Bill

| If you dont know where the users are coming from, check if someone is
going to be behind a firewall that will block FC ports, they should be
able to connect by port 80 if you configured that in the server.

| Thanks. Have thought of licenses and BW but it's a good reminder. What
I hadn't thought of was Ramses' comments about firewalls.
Thanks.

| Hi Guys I have little problem Im generating a "record" stream with the
name "hungyte"
ns_output.publish("hungyte", "recorded");
the file is recorded in streams/_definst_ location
But when I try to make the same but "live"
ns_output.publish("hungyte", "live");
the file is deleted!!!!!
Another question is How can I record my.FLV file in diferent locations
like using a VirtualDirectory
I used the "StorageDir" tag but I can use only one location!!!, could
be posible to have many locations to save my stream
<StreamManager>
<StorageDir>\\SrvGeorge\Data\</StorageDir>
Thanks in advance!!! :D
George
