Hi there,

I recently moved my flashcom Chat application over to another server.

On the old server everything worked fine.

But on the new server when someone views a few cams and chats a bit,
they suddenly stop receiving any data, yet they can still send data, so
if they type it still appears in the chat but they themself can't see
any of it.

While this is happening other people are still using it perfectly, and
if they quit and rejoin it works fine for a little while, when it stops
working appears to be very random.

I'm almost certain it's not a problem with the chat app but have no idea
what could cause a strange, random problem like this.

Does anyone have the slightest idea what could cause something like this?

Thanks.

Hi,

Seems (as far as I can see regarding problems we have solved earlier in the
2 years experience of flashcomm-hosting) that they did not have the latest
version of flashcom installed (have not run all the updates)... If that is
not the case it might be that your old host used windows and your new one
uses Red Hat for instance (yes, thay are NOT the same - we have encountered
some slight differences in windows and linux flashcomm). If that doesn't
help it is most likely that they need to check the configuration of the
vhost. If that all doesn't work it is one of those nice undefined problems.
;)

Hope this helps,
