No MediaComponents...

| Is there such a thing as an ISP not "supporting" Media Components? I
heard someone mention this to me the other day and found it rather
odd. From my understanding, all the information needed to drive these
lives inside the .swf so there is really no server-side "stuff".
Could someone please clarify this for me.
Thanks!

| LOL actually it may be generally used and they maybe talking about UDP (b=
asically multicast) in which case they are correct but has nothing to do =
with Flash or FCS (which runs TCP)

| Hi Clint,
Maybe they meant the Communication Components? The Communication
Components like SimpleConnect and AVPresence require server side code
that can be found in the scriptlib folder and require minor edits in the
main.asc. Maybe the ISP removed the Communication Components code from
the scriptlib folder or do not allow editing the main.asc?
Yours truly,
-Brian

| Thanks for the responses! So just to clarify what I am understanding,
a little slow today, is that the mediaDisplay and/or controller
components (for example) typically used with FLV and MP3 type stuff
should have no server-side constraints minus any main.asc changes
(which would be outside of the standard/base use). Is that correct?
Thanks!
