Hi all,
after a short holiday I return to post on my Blog dedicated
to FlashVideo Technology and Optimizations. In this entry
I explain in detail the role of D-frames in flashcom encoded
stream.
Furthermore I publish to the public my first freeware FLV utility:

FLV D-Killer

It is a simple tool to remove D frames from a flashcom
recorded FLV. This is an examples of usage:

If I have a 24fps stream recorded at 350Kbit/s, I can
use the tool to generate a FLV for a lower bandwidth client.
Removing the D-frames halve the FPS to 12 and reduce
the bandwidth of usually 35-40%. The example FLV is
thus reduced to 200Kbit/s.
