Make a sound when someone logs in

| Hi,
I have found Peldi's "Ring" component, which enables you to press a button
in a chat screen to make a sound on the other person's computer to alert
them of your presence.
Is there any way I can do this automatically when someone logs on to the
chat room rather than when they press a button - in a similar way to MSN
Messenger?

| Thanks. That's not quite what I'm looking for, as I don't have a people list
(it's one to one chat), but I think it has given me some clues.
I will have more questions soon probably!
