Hi,

We had also a problem that our server was crashing a lot.
The months before there was no problem. Our problem was that we had enabled
the logs and the logs became to big. The solution was to rotate the
access-log.

Yup I have it!

The server was crashing every time the FCS was looking
for idle application istances to dump and more than
3-4 were found.

The way to "fix it" is to set the <ApplicationGC>
value in Server.xml to 1 day (1440 minutes) this way
it will only crash once every 24 hours!

I have studied a lot the problem and I have not found
any more clues to what might cause the crash. The code
that caused the crash was not written by me and was
very stuffy. Now I am rewriting it!

Yup, the server won't handle flv log files bigger than
2G. (I think it's the same for video files bigger than
2G?)
