| I am trying to do a simple stream using the FLVPlayback component in
Flash 8. This worked with the same path with Flash 7 components, I am
not sure what changed or why this no longer works. I put the content
path parameter as:
rtmp://flashcom.myserver.edu/com/streamed.flv

| did you go to publish settings and set the app to have network access =
not local file access?

| Did you deploy the main.asc file mentioned in the AS docs?
Search for main.asc in Flash8 Help, deploy the main.asc mentioned there then
try again. Does that work?
