The reason for this is because of the way FLVs are generated and that
you're not using enhanced seek. When you seek to a location, that
location in the file for video may have a keyframe right there, or it
may be right after a key frame and there are n seconds until the next
one comes along. In the latter case, the video can't start without a
keyframe - but the audio packets are complete onto themselves. So
you're going to play with audio only until it hits the next keyframe.
There are a few solutions to this.

1. Turn on enhanced seeking. This is set in the Application.xml file.
It costs CPU as the server has to do more work, but what it will do when
you seek is build a keyframe by looking back or forward (whichever is
closer). So, this way you'll get instant audio and video, with a small
but real performance penalty

2. Re-encode the FLV with more frequent keyframes, it's not preffered
as you inflate the size of the file doing this, and it's a bother to
re-encode.

FYI FMS is, I believe, the only streaming platform that can do this
enhanced seeking to the exact point and deliver the video right there.
Most others will force you to the nearest keyframe, which you can also
do, but that's not preferred either.

Has anyone come across this? Not sure why it is happening..but when I =20
seek in this player I often get the audio starting right away and the =20
video frozen for a few seconds before it restarts streaming.
