Hi,

Can someone suggest a publication introducing the new features of
Flash Media Server, something to supplement "Programming Flash
Communication" Server?

Return True,

Hi Chris,
I think the best source at this point is the documentation from Adobe.
On my install it is located here:
C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash Media Server 2\documentation

The documents you should spend real some time with are:

flashmediaserver_edge.pdf - which does a good job of introducing the
origin/edge architecture.
flashmediaserver_ss_asd.pdf - where you should check out the File, XML,
XMLSocket, and other new classes.
flashmediaserver_managing.pdf - where you'll find information about how
to configure the new features and use things like native SSL support.

Yours truly,
-Brian
