Hi Colin,

Long time no see -

I'd check out using the FMS Console to debug your applications, it's a
lot better than the old NetConnection Debugger which is deprecated now.

Thanks to FlashComGuru here. You can use the ye olde consoles here too
if you're using older FCS.

otherstuff

Since I left Macromedia the FlashCom server keeps following me around!

Ok so I am new to Flash 8 and FMS 2 and I am trying to sort out some
issues.

1. In the absence of a NetConnection debugger like back in the day, am
I correct in that I have to use these lines of code at the beginning of
my AS?:

import mx.remoting.debug.NetDebug;
NetDebug.initialize();

If so, can someone point me at the docs for these classes?

2. My server's live log is telling me that the user disconnected right
after it connects. In my client side code, the onStatus handler of
nc.close() never fires, however, so I can not tell what is going
on...and I have not sorted out the netdebug.as things yet so I am kind
of in the dark here...

Any ideas? I am going to go dig around for some netdebug.as docs or
something....

Cheers,

Colin
