Thanks Stefan,
If you see more solid technical information please let us know?
It would be nice if they had a screen-sharing codec so you could
cost-effectively send screen grabs or convert VGA output to video during
lectures etc... Might even be worth the price of admission to their
"let's make a deal" style pricing...
Cheers,
-Brian

Interesting timing, I just got off a conference call from a guy with
Nine-Systems, the big web cast company. When we asked him what he
thought about Flash Video, his reply was not very positive when it
came to Flash Video for live streaming. His opinion was that
On-Demand Flash Video was great, but with live streaming neither the
quality nor the reliablility was there. He said that in their
experience, live video would break unexpectedly and inexplicably, and
that their clients who were using Flash (some huge huge
organizations) have since gone back to using Windows Media for live
streaming. In fact, Nine-Systems won't even deal with Flash for live
streaming any more, not until the quality and reliability of the
whole package goes up. Bummer. However, he said that this upstepping
was just around the corner for Flash video.

I wonder, when can we expect this type of consistency and quality
from FMS which can rival Windows Media and Real Player for live
application so that a company like Nine-Systems would support the format?

Personally, I'd like to see Flash video really take off.
