Video --> FLV Encoding in Real Time?

| I have some questions about Stefan's post below:
The links you provide are not to capture cards but to software, so that infers there is no live encoding to FLV except through the FlashPlayer and camera device. Is this correct?

Post from the list:
I think some manufacturers (Digital Rapids, Osprey etc?) sell capture cards
that output to flv. What these cards don't do (as far as I know) is send the
encoded output directly to FMS.
So I guess the time to publishing would be as long as it would take you to
upload the flv after the broadcast.

Note: I don't think that any of the cards can do ON2 VP6 yet - but don't
take my word for it. But then again neither can the Flash Player do VP6...
