Dealing with audio

| Rodrigo Augusto Guerra 2006-05-20, 1:11 am |
| hi.
i'm planning a audio program for a school... i would lke to hear form you if
a system with the features below are viable in using FMS.
i would love see some opinions about it.
-a students log-in and a teacher (with the admin screen) now can see the
audio controls for that student, this will happen to each student. new
student = new control.
-the teacher can play a song (mp3) for the students logged and can hear them
sing the song. He can interact (hear/talk) with each one individialy, or
choose 2,3 and talk just with them. (this is important)
-in the teachers screen i imagine 2 controls (send/receive) fot the teacher
control logged students, a mute for each one would be nice too.
-the fact that the program will use only audio (not video or both) the
bandwidth usage it's smaller, or since that it is a streaming dosen't matter
if is audio video or both ?
-the maximum of students will be limited too in order to keep the audio
quality, i'm thinking in 10.
-today i have a 128k fcs bandwidth, do you think that it`s enougth? of
course that the studen's logged conn needs too cooperate, but i was wonering
if the fcs bandwidth is size the real bootleneck for a smooth communication
? or always "the the more the better" is keeped in this situation
-a must point is the audio quality and streamming efficiency, i need kind of
guarantee that there will be no gaps, blanks or any thing like that when
thins are happening. i neeed to do everything as possible to avoid the
interruption of the communication.
thank you very much.
rodrigo.
