Has anyone heard of remote SharedObjects failing consistently?

We have a client who has several Windows XP workstations running Flash
Player 8.0.22. Using very simple remote SO code which works elsewhere, the
client cannot use remote SharedObjects on about 3 of their workstations.
They successfully use NetStreams, NetConnection.call, and connect via RTMP
on port 1935.

I've been doing FMS stuff for some time and have never seen this. Anyone
have ideas or know of issues with specific network/pc configs that could
cause this to happen?

Thanks,

Jim

I saw that once, where a client could connect no problem, but couldn't
connect to any shared objects server side. We never did solve the issue,
but tried several things. It seemed to be a problem with all of the
machines in a specific location. Other machines connecting through the
same firewall, in the same location had no problem. These particular
machines seemed to have been configured in such a way as to prevent them
from connecting to shared objects.

I think it may have been a browser security setting, but they were unable
to change anything due to company lockdown. But maybe you could look
there first - - browser setting, although I'm not really sure if anything
there would or could affect a connection to a shared object. Just an
idea.
