OT: two player Sudoku

| I say off topic, because I built this without FCS/FMS. It runs inside MSN
Messenger--feel free to invite me to a game at sudoku9000-PkbjNfxxIATowKkBSvOlow@public.gmane.org I
believe, too, you have to select it via the games tab in Messenger--it's
called "Sudoku Too".
It was a very interesting challenge to make a responsive game under very
restrictive limitations: no more than 2 packets a second passed between
players; and each packet had to be under 1500 bytes. Sure does make you
long for FCS! I don't want to diss all the other limitations of working in
a chat environment, but believe me, it was restrictive.
There are two modes of play:
Cooperative, where both players work on the same puzzle. This was actually
the much harder technical challenge. Mainly keeping the two boards in synch
was tricky.
Competitive, where the two players take turns to complete the board. You
can enter up to 3 cells during your timed turn. Correct cells are awarded
points... and the player who completes the majority of a single row, column,
and block gets more points.
Anyway, I'd be glad to play a game with anyone and chat about it at the same
time. By the way, I don't think I got much better at playing Sudoku despite
working on this project since March. And... I took out all the cheats (in
there for testing) so I don't have an unfair advantage.
Thanks,
Phillip

| Very cool Phillip.. but you've asked for it now! My Mum is a strong Sodoku
player and I shall set her onto you =P
That is... if I could find the game ;-) It's not listed in the games menu
in Windows Live Messenger.

| It's not fully propagated yet--sorry. It should be fully available this
morning.
Thanks,
Phillip

| This game seems to really be live now--though there seems to be some server
delays causing a timeout. But go ahead and challenge me at:

| Love to, but I'm still not seeing the game =/ Any way to force MSN to
refresh it's list?
