| Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has installed Media Server 2 on SUSE 9 without =
problems, because I tried a couple of times but couldn=B4t make it.
Any successful experience will be gladly welcome.
Sorry if this topic has been previously discussed.
Thanks.
Emiliano Angelini.

| I guess this one falls to me..
I have and am running FMS on SLES9 as we speak. We have had zero problems
with it despite MM/Adobe saying they don't support it....
What kind of problems are you seeing? Does the installer run but the servic=
e
won't start?
If you could provide more information then I can help you to figure out how
to fix it.
Thanks,
Jake

| Hello Emiliano,
try: "./installFCS -platformWarnOnly"
and see http://www.sonntagsfarben.de/blog/?p=3D4
You start the service with "/etc/init.d/fms_smth start"
Regards
Alex

1. Install Fresh Fedora Core 4 (or any Fedora system).2. Take all defaults =
and make sure to install all development tools and editors (does not need t=

rectory as listed below and then follow script.

| The platformWarnOnly should work for installing it but you may have issues
with a few "so" files. You'll want to do a search in yast making sure you
search for packages that provide the "so". Search for libnspr2.so and
install that package.. by default it's not installed.
