| Hi all,
after an upgrade from CCM 3.3(3) to 4.1(2) The JTAPI subsystem is always
out of service? All other services are up and
running. What could be going on?
Thanks

| You didn't mention if you upgraded to the supported version. I know that IPCC Express requires an upgrade from 3.1.x to 3.5.x to support CallManager 4.X

| check the compatibiily matrix to see what engine is required, but jtapi
client update will definitely be required.

I have not upgraded the engine. It still at 3.1(1). I upgraded only the
jtapi client and then downgraded again
because they were incompatible. Now o have the old engine, the old
client but the new ccm. Maybe it is better to upgrade the engine as well.

We found that the servers we are running are not supported under the higher versions of CRS. We had to suspend our CallManager 4.1 upgrade plans because of the dollars involved in upgrading all our CRS servers (four in total).

| Hi Anthony,
When you do the upgrade to CRA 3.5 I'd be interested to know if you have
to order a different license. If you do I'd be curious if there is a
cost associated with it.
Thanks.

| The licencing changes slightly with 3.5. They all become 'agent' licences and are not seperated into desktop, phone, supervisor, etc. I think the process is you send them your licence file and they send you one back.

| I believe that it's not until 4.x that all become agents. I'm pretty
sure my 3.5 install has sups and agents.
Contact licensing@cisco.com to get a new license file. So long as you
give them the mac address of the server and the old license files they
can get a new one to you in about 24-48 hours.
