We've finally made the decision to begin putting our AVVID solution behind a firewall (yippee!) Currently, everything is behind an ACL with no (or limited access) to the data network so while things are protected we've obviously limited ourselves to the services we can offer.

After some time looking, I have yet to find a document that describes in detail exactly what to do to put our solution behind a firewall successfully. Granted, I've seen a few documents which describe the UDP and TCP ports that CallManager and Unity use, but no document that pulls everything together. For example, how do I ensure that my IPCC express box can communicate with CallManager after all is well and done?

I wouldn't mind hearing about your experience with this and where you started and what documents you might have used.
