VG200 FXO hang-up problem
|

| Hi I wonder if anyone can suggest anything to help.
I have a CM4.1 with a VG200 gateway. The gateway has 2 dual FXO modules.
Connecting this to an analogue line from our Siemens exchange works, but I
have a problem with call disconnects. When an incoming call occurs and the
call is unanswered, the phone will continue to ring for a very long period
after the calling party has disconnected.
I have changed many of the parameters from Loop start to Ground start, etc
with no effect.
Any help appreciated.
TIA

1. You have to read about "answer and disconnect supervision". That is a well
known problem on analog FXO lines. The analog lines usually do NOT provide
call supervision. The PSTN switches / PBXes providing BORSCH to analog lines,
can send call answer/disconnect supervision via polarity reversal on the
pair. However it is rarely turned on by default. That is why
"software" (voice based) answer/disconnect supervision has to be used.

2. You have asked your question on the wrong place, IMHO. This looks like a
Cisco CCM / Unity mailing-list, not a cisco voip one.
