>From the documentation it looks like it IS possible to change the initial
bandwidth request/codec on a call over a h225 gatekeeper controlled trunk
"midstream" BUT the terminating device cannot change the codec.
Basically, if the Device Pool assigned to the inbound h225 trunk is G.729
and the call goes to voicemail (the VM ports are using G.711) it can't
renegotiate to the higher codec.

Calls over an a non-gatekeeper controlled ICT and calls between devices on
the same cluster have no issues with this configuration. Calls that are
answered are G.729, and if they go to voicemail it changes to G.711.

I understand the best practice for CAC reasons is not to have different
codecs over the same link but bandwidth is ample in this configuration.
