| Have 7970s on 6.03sr1 firmware (Call Manager
3.3(4)sr2) and having issue where forwarded calls
don't display the information on other phones right
for forwarded calls like in this bug.
Bug CSCsa77131 details from bug toolkit. It doesn't
list a fixed version but saids it is resolved but in
what?
Headline Phone receivng fwded calls not displaying
CallingParty, CalledParty Name
Product third-gen-phones Model
Component sw-phone-jphone Duplicate of
Severity 3 Severity help Status Resolved Status
help
First Found-in Version 6.0 First Fixed-in Version
Version help
Release Notes
Symptom:
The IP Phone that receives forwarded calls may not
display the Calling Party Name and the Called Party
Name.
Conditions:
This is seen on the 6.2.80 build with SeaView CCM ver
3.3(4)
Workaround:
None
Symptom on phones:
The forwarding caller ID display on the screen remains
unchanged when calls are forward while the user is on
their primary line.
The screen just says:
For XXXX
When it should instead read:
Forward First Name, Last Name
For XXXX

| Hi Erick,
According to the developer's notes they were not able to reproduce this
issue with the 7.0 code while they are able to easily reproduce it with
6.0. It doesn't look like they expect to fix this in the 6.0(x) loads
but expect that the problem won't occur with 7.0(1). This may change
or be incorrect but I believe that 7.0(1) is targeted for July.
HTH,
Kevin

| Kevin,
Thanks for the reply and information. Anything else
new/different with 7.x load for 7970. Since it's going
from 6.x to 7.x I'm guessing there must be a bigger
change with something in the load other then some
fixes.
