| As far as I can tell there are two specific servers supported by that
patch, MCS7835-H1 and I1. My guess is that they are new servers and
if you buy one it comes with 2000-4-1 CDs. Since you can't patch that
OS version with an older one any future MS patches will be released on
both OS trains until they force everyone to 2000-4.

Has anyone else seen that CCO has OS 4.1sr1 available?
I see that it must be loaded on a fresh 4.1 install. Does this mean
that
Cisco is going to Windows 2003 or linux?
Does anyone have any info on this?
Thanks
Scott

Here's some notes on 2000.4.1 in general, note the
whats changed section.
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td...s/install/rn20=
0041.htm
What's Changed in Release 2000.4.1
Because the installation procedure for cisco IP
Telephony OS Version 2000.4.1 changed, the
installation time decreased. This section describes
the major changes in cisco IP Telephony Operating
System Version 2000.4.1.
=95The installation sets the following default
configurations:
=96Installation sets Terminal Services to disabled.
=96Installation sets Community Name to public and
Community Rights to none.
=95Cisco IP Telephony OS Version 2000.4.1 does not
require you to enter a product key during
installation.
=95Cisco IP Telephony OS Version 2000.4.1 does not
support Same Server Recovery.
=95This release does not support same server recovery.
This release only supports a fresh installation. A
fresh installation repartitions and reformats all
drives on the system. =
