| Hello
Though an IP address can be change after instalation ( this is not a
good idea ) , you can't change name of the server.I don't know why, but
we had tested it in our lab and it always crashed. I suppose that the
name is written somewhere in files or registers.
Best regards
Marcin

Subject: [cisco-voip] Computer name of CCM changed to cisco[plus
randomnumbers]!!
Hi all,
5 days ago, on any IBM server (MCS7914) running CCM 3.3(4, the serices
of CallManager + other services including DHCP
could not start at all, even after reboot.
And then i noticed that the COMPUTER NAME of the server was changed to
CISCO + a [random number]!!
When i set the old name, everything worked fine and the services have
gotten up!!!
Any ideas why this thing has happened?
Thanks
Anthony
