| Hi,
Have a customer with 4.1(3) using encryption and when
they set up a phone, it first registers to publisher
and comes up encrypted but on status row of phone it
saids TLS Warning with subscribers IP address. I don't
have the exact warning/error.
A few minutes after it registers with pub, the phone
rehomes to subscriber fine.
Could the TLS be from the CTL and/or CAPF not being
sync'd between the servers yet and after awhile that
info gets propagated and then the phones able to
register to subscriber?
It doesn't appear to cause a problem and only happens
when it first setup.
Also, they are entering the LSC key on phone manually
and the process in cisco documents doesn't seem to
work well. The following are the steps were doing to
add a phone with encryption.
- Add/Register phone in non-secure mode first.
- After its up in NON-SECURE Mode do following:
-- On the phone setup page in CCM Admin, change
secure mode to
Encrypted
-- Under CAPF section, set to use authentication
key and enter the
key
-- Only hit the update button - do not reset
-- On the IP Phone, go under security settings
and LSC id and enter key and hit submit. It should say
pending.
-- This process may take a few minutes (2-3) and
then say generating keys, then phone will register to
ccm and be in Encrypted mode if all worked ok.
