Rob,
I too have seen this when I notice that phones re-register with another
call manager or re-register with the call manager that you are viewing
the event log on. An example of this would be if the there was a network
outage in a building you would see the phones in that area unregister or
"transient connection" error in the event log. Check to see if there has
been a power outage or network failure in the physical location that
those phones have dropped.

The event with the transient error should show the extension and the
description of the phone so you would know which phones had the
problem.

I have a couple of servers event logs showing number transient
connections and devices being unregistered. What are all your thoughts
on this? TAC says this is normal??
