Hi!

I have a strange problem with my fax.
Sometimes we receive a fax, where one line
is missing or the line is not readable.
This error occus everywhere. Sometimes it is at the
top of the fax, sometimes at the end of it.
So it is really hard to isolate the exact reason for that
problem.

What I have done ?
I made a hardware upgrade from 3640 to 2821. I use now
the 12.4(3) AdvIPServices with 1 x PRI and 1 x VIC2-BRI-NT/TE
Before the upgrade, with the same modules and with the same
configuration, there was no problems receiving a fax.
I used 12.3(7)T. Now after the upgrade I have the problem
like it is described above.

Did anybody had a similar problem ?
Any ideas ?

I also tried 12.3(14)T3 AdvIPServices, but there was the
same behaviour.

Here a config cut of my voice-gateway:

interface BRI0/1/1
no ip address
isdn switch-type basic-net3
isdn protocol-emulate network
isdn layer1-emulate network
isdn incoming-voice voice
no isdn outgoing display-ie
isdn skipsend-idverify
line-power

voice-port 0/1/1
compand-type a-law
cptone DE

dial-peer voice 51 pots
max-conn 2
destination-pattern 6..
direct-inward-dial
port 0/1/1
forward-digits all

Thanks in advance,
Ahmad

Hi Simon,

I use H323 configuration. The fax comes over the PRI Interface and goes
to the fax server.

Yes, I have slip seconds. I try to fix this and make another
test.

Thanks,
Ahmad
