| We have a number of remote sites which each have their own PRI, I want
to add an additional gateway located at HQ into each route list for
failover should the PRI go down.
Each site has their own Partitions and Calling search spaces, to get
this to work do I have to add the CSS of the gateway at HQ to the CSS of
each site or add all of the CSSof the remote sites to the CSS of the
gateway at HQ?

| The CSS of the phone at the remote site will contain the partition of
the appropriate Route Patterns. The Route Patterns will point to the
Route List. You can add the Route Groups that contain the HQ Gateways
to the Route List. The phones at the remote site will now be able to
use the HQ Gateway in the event of failure or unavailable channels on
the local Gateway without having to change the CSS.
You might also need to set the appropriate called and calling party
transformation masks on the Route List for the Route Group pointing to
the HQ Gateway. For example, if I dial a local 7 digit number out my
local Gateway but now the call is going out the HQ Gateway the called
number might need to change to a long distance number.

| So if the area code for the remote site is 01752 and they dial a local
code which will go out of the HQ gateway I have to add 01753 to Calling
Party Transformations - Prefix Digits (Outgoing Calls) do I have to also
add a transform mask?

| At a minimum you will need to either use the prefix digits or called
party transform mask under the called party transformations section.
Prefix digits would be the easiest if all you need to do is add the
area code. Most likely you won't need to configure anything under the
calling party transformations unless you or the PSTN require something
specific.
