| Technically, you can do it. The only problem is that the webserver built
into IP Communicator will grap TCP Port 80 from the IIS Webserver running
the CCMAdmin pages. With that said, if you left HTTPS (Port 443) enabled on
the server, then "Yes", you can install IP Communicator on your CCM server.
The usual disclaimers apply: Your mileage may vary. Your server might
explode into a pile of slag. IP Communicator could cause a reduction in CCM
performance.

| should be able to, but 2 precautions:
1. disable IPC's internal web server:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Cisco Systems, Inc.\Communicator
WebServerDisabled (does not appear by default). To disable the web server,
create this DWORD value and set it to any non-zero value. To reenable the web
server, delete this key or set it to zero.
2. most MCS do not have a sound card by default - IPC tends to get
grumpy about this.
If you're only looking to place test calls. Install the Attendant
Console client on the CM server is less intrusive and allows you to
remote control most any phone with a little bit of configuration.
