Hi,

I've recently installed cisco Unity 4.04, using only voice messaging and
not unified messaging. I am having a problem with external calls not
being captured by Unity. If I place a call internally, I can leave a
voicemail without any problems. If I place a call externally, I'm
prompted to leave a message, but the message never reaches the
subscriber's inbox. Please help.

Regards,

do you have a routing issue between the gateway and the Unity server?
Your voice may not be getting there, but the call control to the
CallManager could still be functioning correctly.

Make sure your gateway contains a CSS that includes the VM pilot and cti
ports. Next, check to see if you have location restrictions denying the
use of bandwidth over a WAN to the Unity server. If those are issues
are good, then you may have a routing issue.

Joe

You might want to run the permissions wizard again. It sound like the
message store account might not have permissions to deliver the messages.

You might also want to check the unaddressed messages mailbox to see if the
messages are piling up there.
