CallManager 4.0(2a)sr2c
7914: S00104000100
7960: P00307020300

After I updated the CallManager from 4.0(2a)sr2b to sr2c last weekend,
my 7914 users have said that their 7914 sidecar button light does not
light up when another person is using that line. We have shared lines
between the attorney and the secretary, the secretary usually looks at
the 7914 button light to see if the attorney is on the line, but since
the update last weekend, the button light does not light up, all you see
is the little logo next to the directory number indicating that the
phone is in use.

I'm sure they're correct, but if any of you have 7914 sidecars, could
you confirm this? Also, please reply with your CallManager version as
that would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Justin. Brian also led me to the 7.2(3) release notes and found
the same bug. I just checked the 7.2(4) release notes and it says it
has been resolved. I have not yet downloaded 7.2(4), but at least I
know 7.2(2) will work for those people.

Thanks again.

stu,

It's a bug / feature related to the CallManager Privacy feature and
phone load 7.2.3. You can fix it by downgrading to 7.2.2. I haven't
tested 7.2.4 so I don't know if that bug is fixed by upgrading.

We've seen the same problem, and yes, 7.2(4) has it fixed...

However, there are still some issues with shared line lamp, as it doesn't
light when you transfer a call to the shared line etc. Have a TAC case
opened on it with no results yet
