Hi guys,

I have a pretty interesting design question:

We have a customer, who currently has several PBXs connected via Voice
gateways (28XX) using QSIG. The PBXs are setup with any to any
connectivity via dial-peers.
Now the customer is looking to deploy his first callmanager site. The
problem is, that it is replacing an existing site, so we have to
integrate into the Qsig VOIP Network, without having a local pbx there.
So, what are possibilities of doing this? Would it be possible to take
all the existing voice gateways into mgcp control of the ccm and pass
the Qsig between them via the ccm?
Has anyone encountered or dealt with this issue?
Regards
bernhard

I don't know if I understand the question correctly.

I have a CCM connected via a mgcp VGW over t1 PRI QSIG without issues.
It passes all names and extensions back and forth.

CM is my front end PBX to the PSTN so calls come in the CM PRI VGW then
route over to the PBX Qsig without issue. I just use the (####) route
pattern because if it doesn't match on the CM then I must go to the PBX.

Hi Scott,
yeah, that works fine, we actually have deployed several such scenarios

.. The problem is, that I wouldn't have to integrate with just one qsig PBX.=
The Central PBX is replaced by the ccm, so I don't have a local pbx with w=
hich to integrate with. Rather I would have ti integrate with half a dozen=
PBXs in other locations, which are networked via QSIG over h323 (classic V=
oip toll bypass). I believe, that it would not be possible to connect back =
to back to the network of PBXs, because CCM expects only one pbx behind a M=
GCP Qsig Link, rather than many.
I'm just not sure what would work in such a scenario.

Many thanks
bernhard

So it's like a big hub of qsig or it's a hub and spoke of qsig links? I've=
never seen a hub (cloud) style before. If it's a qsig link to each PBX I =
don't see it being much of an issue. If it's a cloud style I would look at=
maybe a gatekeeper.
