ip phones dont give busy signal

even the phone is busy , when the second call come , the busy phone doesnt give busy signal.
And the calling person hear ringing tone insted ofbusy tone.
and this only happens when we make internal calls. But when we try to call from outside (i mean from pstn) ,this time the busy phone gives busy singal.

| This Feature is Called CallWaiting.
Could you give me more information about your setup.
Possible reasons for this problem is Codec usage.
For Example: Call From PSTN is translated in gateway to G.729 codec for
example, but "Dialed Phone" ( phone attached to CCM ) already have active
call with G.729 codec so call will fail because most cisco Phones does not
support second call with G.729 codec.

| chech your settings under Phone DN... calling search spaces for busy on Internal/External calls
do you have indication on the phone when second call arrives (on the screen)?
