| OK, it is that time of year again... I am reposting this so everyone can
install CallManager 3.X to 4.X on any old PC or Vmware.
First off, create a VM (10Gig is more than enough)
Install Windows 2000, make sure you include terminal services and SNMP
Apply the reg hack below.
Install OS 2000.2.7 (aka win-OS-Upgrade-K9.2000-2-7.exe)
Reboot a bunch of times.
Acquire shutdown.exe (pull it off of an existing CallManager 4.1 or 4.2 box)
and copy to the C:\utils directory (create it if need be)... This is only
necessary if you are installing CCM 4.1 or 4.2 (4.0? Then you don't need
it!).
Install CallManager, starting with disk 1... easy as pie...
NOTE: For CallManager 5, just install, it is already VMware happy, but you
can't get a license file, so you are screwed...
REG HACK FOLLOWS (Copy everything below here to a text file, and rename it
WHATEVER.reg, then double click it on the recently installed Win2K Server).
