Author MSI package to deploy CTIOS desktop agent

Good evening folks,
We are starting up a call center with approximately 85 agents. Has anyone out there developed (or know where I could look for) an "MSI" package that can be sent to all the desktops that will install the software? Our computer support folks don't have th
e manpower to physically go to all the workstations to install the package, so I am trying to help them out..

Any comments, suggestions, etc. are welcome and appreciated!!!!!

I do not know of an MSI (the install file is an exe).

However, you can build one.

For example:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Author...e-Builder.shtml

Will work, it ain't cheap, but it is probably cheaper than the man-hours it
would take to install the app... and then you can use it to make an MSI from
anything.

(I am not hawking the product... I just googled, 'msi builder' and that was
the first hit... BTW, I couldn't find a free one)

I'm assuming its a windows environment see if you have MS SMS server or
something of that sort. If its NOVELL server then ZEN works can do the job.
or else the msi builder JOnathan had suggested would work and can be
deployed using MS group policies

I had a customer deploy CAD via MSI, they had issues related back to the
packaging. The application connects back to the server and pulls in
variables, when packaged those variables were populated already causing
problems related to cluster failover. I called TAC and they saidit's a
known issue to uninstall all agents and re-install them manually. That
packaged installs are not supported. They are working ona supported
packaging solution. The other issue is the end users have to be full
administrator installing and running the software. TAC said that
development is also working on the rights problems.

Well, it seems there should be someone to make the exe and the ini available
as an MSI package, and instruct the users to fill in the server correctly...

Else, the MSI can be distributed and a batch file can be added to those
users' login profile to copy over the ini...
