I am currently running cisco Unity 4.0 Build 4.0(3) SR 1 in unified
messaging mode connected to an Exchange 2003 infrastructure. The
Exchange servers are currently running Windows 2003 without any
service packs and Exchange 2003 without any service packs. I would
like to upgrade to Windows 2003 SP1 and Exchange 2003 SP2. Is this an
acceptable thing to do with Unity? Are there any caveats or work
arounds that I should be aware of? I tried searching on CCO, but
couldn't find a definitive answer... however their search engine and I
frequently don't get along!

Thanks,
Adam

Below is the page you want. From my experience, you
will need the latest permissions wizard and run it and
may need to update unity with some ES's depending on
your setup perhaps. You may want to update unity to
4.1(1) first.

Note, this in the above:

Caution Before you install Windows Server 2003 Service
Pack 1 on the cisco Unity server(s) and on the partner
Exchange 2003 server, you may need to install a Cisco
Unity engineering special or run the latest version of
the cisco Unity Permissions wizard. For more
information, refer to the tech note Windows 2003 SP 1
Causes cisco Unity 4.0(4) and 4.0(5) to Lose
Communication with Exchange 2003 at
