Ip Communicator version 2.0 running on two seperate machines. One is Win 2k
SP4 and the other is Win XP SP 2. Communicators are setup to share the hard
phone extension. Calls placed internally work fine but when trying to call
external, the call will ring once then go fast busy. I am still collecting
more info but putting out the feelers to see if anyone else has had same or
similar issues.

Perhaps CSS setup for IP Communicators?

Most of the time when a call through a GW rings once then disconnects
there is a problem with codec negotiation. What type of GW do you
have?

Check to see if the check box for low bandwidth codec is set on the
IPC. This forces it to use g.729 and if your gateway is only doing
g711 it will fail at media negotiation (unless you happen to have an
xcoder).
