What version of the OS had the high CPU spike related to the SATA drivers? And what was the first version it was fixed.

Thanks!

I had one of the first 7825-H2s back in Aug, they were delayed 4 weeks
while that was worked on, but my 6 units didn't receive the bad drivers

Only 2000.4.1 and I think the new drivers were in 2000.4.1a or
something similar as well as available in a standalone patch.

Here is the field notice.

thanks! I thought it was in 2000.4.1, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

I got a customer that is having wierd issues once an hour and once he told me the version of the OS, I thought that might be the case.

There is a seperate patch you can get off the OS updates page to fix this, and bring the SATA RAID driver up to version 6.0.82 which has fix. The problem version is 6.0.75 that the servers had loaded before being patched. This driver
really updates the Adpatec Embedded Serial ATA HostRAID driver. If you have HP model server and on OS 2000.4.1sr5 or later you should have newer one.

HP-SATADriver-6.0.82.exe
SATA Driver correction for MCS-7825-H1-IPC1, MCS-7825-H1-CC1 (using IPCC Express), and DL320 G3 with SATA RAID drives using OS 2000.4.1, 2000.4.1sr1 - 1sr4. Driver will be included in impending SR (2000.4.1sr5) and OS Upgrade (2000.4.2).

The IBM model of the server has the same issue, but the first official OS for the IBM was 2000.4-1a which includes the fix. I have seen 1 customer of mine who had the IBM flavor server with OS 2000.4-1 (IBM flavor install CD) - before the fix was included
and the above driver update had to be installed manually to fix the issue. The newer SRs with fix did not apply it, because it was a HP patch so wasn't ran on IBM models when SRs were applied.
