We have CallManager 4.1(3)sr3b with OS4.2sr8...

Receptionist has a 7971 with two 7914 expansion modules.

Created shared lines of the executives on the 7914s.

We see them ring when you call them, but we don't see any line state
info on the 7914s (it always shows the phones on hook, no matter what
they are doing, unless they are ringing).

We are running the latest DevPack, version 28-2 and the 7914s have
picked up the latest load.

What am I missing?

I'm pretty sure that the Builtin Bridge Enable parameter has to be enabled, either in the system parameters or on the phone configuration itself. After any of these changes (privacy setting included) the phone has to be reset/restarted or something like that.

The bridge is enabled globally and manually on both devices

The thing is, I have downloaded and installed the latest firmware and
have confirmed the 7914s are running it.

Here's the worst part... the 7971s don't even show correct line state
on shared lines... and they are running the latest code...

I don't get it... I am going to try a different firmware first...

OK, no phones on the network are showing line state... I have set
privacy to false on both PUB and SUB, enabled the bridge, installed
extended services, updated the firmware to 8.0(3)...

I am completely out of ideas...

And we've made sure the lines are in the same partition? ;)

Try creating a couple of new phones from scratch with a shared line, other than that, my next step would be to restart the cluster.

Then TAC it.

Yeah, I just figured that out...

Apparently, I didn't even think to check that...

I made an inbound call, and I noticed that both lines didn't ring. Now
they do....

This is fixed.

Thanks to all for the help.
