| I have a stubborn 7936 conference station that won't pick up the pages
from a dn that is sending the pages to a multicast address. This is
using a CME setup. The phones at the site and the conference station
are on the same switch and the phones pick up the pages, so it doesn't
appear to be a multicasting issue. I've added the paging-dn line to the
7936's ephone config exactly as it is on all the other phones in the
office, yet they work and it doesn't. Everything else on the 7936 seems
to be ok... inside and outside phone calls, registration with the CME,
etc. Just to be sure it wasn't hardware, we've swapped out the 7936,
but still no joy in Mudville. Any ideas as to what might be amiss would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John

| what phone load on the 7936?
does it show as being offhook and receiving mcast on the LCD?
are you trunking to the phone or using hardcoding access vlan = voice
vlan?
in a packet capture do you see the 7936 send out an mcast join?

| Phone load is cmterm_7936.3-3-5-0
LCD on the phone doesn't change when a page is sent from another phone.
Switchport config matches all the other phone ports:
interface FastEthernet0/19
switchport trunk native vlan 12
switchport mode trunk
switchport voice vlan 13
mls qos trust cos
spanning-tree portfast
Don't really have the means to do a packet capture at the site. Is
there a debug on the switch or CME that I can run to get the multicast
info?

| and these are the same vlans other phones are using?
can you force it to access only port and set the access vlan to be
the voice vlan just to confirm?
does this phone have a shared line to the line that is initiating the
page?
