BAT validity checks

| I was doing some work the other day with BAT using a logical statement to move some DNs from one partition to another. However, I forgot that I had some route patterns with the same DNs in the same partition. Needless to say, there were some crazy results. I was able to recover by deleting both the DN and the route pattern and starting from scratch.
Why would the BAT tool not do the same validity check the CCM admin tool does?

| Was your BAT job an update lines or what? This sounds bad. Let me
know what your BAT jobs were and I will try to track it down.

| Yup, update lines. Moving DNs from a temporary partition over to a live partition.
