Does anyone know of a way to clear a port stuck in S_WAIT_RELEASE state
without rebooting the router? I've tried bouncing the voice port and the
clear call command.

Is there some way to clear the DSP itself?

Can you post your software/hardware version? Also, the gateway config
and/or any debugs you may have captured.

Thanks.

I have a 2821 running c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-4.XC.bin and CME 4.0(1)
that is doing the same thing.

It's a 2821 running 12.3(11)XL1.

This is a CME system. The FXS port is used for a fax machine. Calls are
routed directly from the PRI to the FXS port via a POTs dial peer. I don't
have access to the config right now but I could post it later.

I'm fairly certain there's not a config problem but in any case I'm more
interested in knowing if there's a way to reset the port when this happens
(besides reloading the router).

How about a shut/no-shut on the voice-port?

I opened a case with TAC and they said it was probably a software bug. I
upgraded and the problem hasn't resurfaced for a few days. Where as before I
was rebooting the router 2-3 times a day.
