any way to schedule reboots of phones??
|
|
| Tim Reimers 2006-09-25, 7:12 pm |
| hi everyone-
I just made a global change to all phones on the system--
I can't restart all phones during the day---
Is there some sort of scheduleable reboot of all phones? (one I could
configure and not have to remember to reboot all phones tonight)
thanks, Tim

| Can't you schedule the switches to reboot (reload at HH:MM)....... That
would take care of the issue.
Scott

Nothing directly.
If they are EM phones, you could schedule a forced EM logout.
schedule a .bat job to:
net stop "cisco callmanager"
net start "cisco callmanager"
schedule a windows reboot

| Well, the easiest would be VPN in from home.... Select all phones and
restart. But if you don't want user intervention I was just trying to
come up with a useable option.

| How about a time-based access list to block port 2000 at night for a bit?
I had a client once where there phones were rebooting at random times, which turned out to be after a certain period but event logs showed a normal reason code and it turned out to be EM auto-logout was resetting the phone. I wish the event log showed a d
ifferent reason code for that type of reset situation.
