| Every semester we have 3000-5000 students who don't pay their tuition by
the deadline. Our President likes us to put in a call to each of these
students which obviously takes a good deal of time. I have been asked
to look for an auto dialer which would call a list of numbers in a
database, lets say, and once the party answers or an answering machine
answers a pre-recorded message plays. I know IPSession from IPCelerate
have this feature, but it is very expensive for just this one task. Has
anyone had any experience with an enexpensive auto dialer system that
works well with the cisco ip telephony system?
Thanks,

| We tried that dialer and it doesn't work with VM / Answering machines
very well.
I'm not going to tell you its cheap (because it's not) but School
Messenger has a CommSuite that ties right in with CM. Either as a Jtapi
/ CTI application or as a SIP Trunk. We have it working with our CM
4.1.3sr2 cluster and have integrated our Student / Finance system with
it to pull the numbers over. Something could easily be done to just
pull from your system all who have not paid so you can automate that
also.
Works very nice. If you want contact info, ping me offline

| Brian,
You could script something like this using ipcc express. Store the numbers in a database or an xml file and cycle through each number placing a call and then play the recording when the call is connected.
CCM 3.3 and 4.0 shipped with a bundled copy of ipcc express, you may need to upgrade it to enhanced to be able to read data from a db or xml file, I can't remember what flavor that feature was in.
