Daylight Savings Time issues...

| Well, it's getting to be that time of the year again.
Has anyone noticed that
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk6...#voice_products
was updated earlier this month, and that CM and phone loads are affected
for the switch back from DST? Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it looks
like I've got another upgrade cycle to go through.
Yay.

| I just read this field notice and it mentions to load 4.1(3)DevPack 57.1,
but I can't find it under the Downloads section. The latest version I see
is 4.1(56). Am I the only one experiencing this?

Any opinions on running Win2K in the GMT timezone with no DST
adjustments at all?
I'm thinking that the impact would be:
1) System clock in toolbar is wrong.
2) My logs are going to be 6 hours off relative to wall clock time.
What's going to be the impact on the phones though? If I say that a
phone is in the CST timezone, am I still going to have the wrong time on
2007-10-28?

is where the phones get there time, right?

Right, but the device pool allows you to choose a date/time group. If
the DTG is appropriate, then the clock on the phone should be accurate.
I'm labbing something now where I'm going to move the server to GMT
and then advance the clock to 2007-10-28@0158 to see what happens.
I'll do the same with 2007-11-04@0158.
I'm just not sure which combination of MCS OS, CM SR and phone load is
required to ensure that CM knows that DST in NA ends on 2007-11-04 this
year. (Running 4.1.3sr2 with the DST patches we needed back in March)
Whew. That's a lot of acronyms.

| The phones will get their time from the CCM DB, TypeTimeZone Table, CCM
4.1

| Come on Scott anyone in the consulting world would love it
They saved millions of dollars in energy cost but it also cost companies
millians of dollars to update all of there old PBX's, windows boxes, novell
servers, apps and so on and so on.
