The "Requesting" means the phone is trying to connect to the "Directories
URL" specified in the Enterprise Parameters. By default the only directory
returned by this URL is the Corporate Directory however since you can change
this destination and make custom directories, etc the phone still has to
make the http connection.

Normally I'd say that the phone not listening on port 80 would not have
anything to do with it not being able to hit the webserver on the
directories URL but it's certainly possible that there was a lower-level
issue that affected opening (both send and receive) new TCP connections that
got fixed by the reset.

100% of our 7961's use the same load. Of course, I only have 8 of them
deployed, but I have 22 more on the shelf.

The only strange symptom I've had so far happened only yesterday. One of
them could not see the Corporate Directory. Missed, Received and Placed
Calls directories displayed, but not Corporate. There was a 'requesting'
message on the display. In troubleshooting, I found that I could not hit the
web server in the device. I portscanned it and found that port 80 was not
open. Web Access was enabled in the phone's configuration. To our knowledge,
nothing else was wrong at the time, but the user cold booted the phone
before I could do more troubleshooting and all was back to normal when it
came back up.

My partner admin and I have had our 7961's in service for a few months
without issue, but we're keeping our eyes on them since we're starting to
deploy them now.

Robert
