Does anyone know if a CCM 5 node license will work with ver 6 or does
one have to get a new pak and node license when moving to ver 6

| Your DLU and node licenses should convert over (assuming you
upgrade). You will get the PAK for the feature license when you
order the CM 6 upgrade kit.

| NEW PAK!!!!
Do not upgrade your CCM 5 box to 6 without the license update first.
The upgrade will go fine, but the CCM service will not start.

| When you say you got a 50 Phone license do you mean you purchased 50
and then purchased another 10 or do you mean the 50 DLU that come with
a fresh install?
If you mean the 50 that come with the fresh install they get removed
once you add your additional 10. So if you only purchased 10 you do
not have a total of 60 you have a total of 10.

Yes, that is a exactly what happened.
So, what does that mean? Are these 50 licences time limeted, would they expire anyway?
Thank you in advance!

| It looks to me that you have 50 Device License UNITS, not 50 phone
licenses. Each phone type uses a certain number of device license units.
With the numbers you show it seems that you want to attach third party
advanced SIP phones which cost you 6 device license units each.
You will have to buy more device license units if you want to connect all
phones.
The 50 device license units have been added by cisco to allow a little
testing but not to deploy a network.
HTH.

| They don't expire they just get removed once you add license you
purchased. You do NOT get 50 license with CCM 6.0. You get a temp 50
during the fresh install but they are for testing / demo purposes not
for a production network.

| No that does not look like what he did at all. It looks like he added
10 to the 50 that came with the fresh install.
