Can anyone who has an ATA-186 handy tell me if it has those keyhole hangers=
on the back that allow you to mount it to a wall?

None that I have do.
I have at least one ATA in each branch office dedicated to paging. This
unit is often in an equipment room and what I've used pipe hanger strap
to wall mount them. It is not very pretty, but it is effective, and
since every branch is a plumbing supply store, it's always available on
site
