remote control with MP Express
|
|
|
| Looks like cisco has added the remote control feature to MeetingPlace
Express 2.0.2.
Has anyone seen this working or upgraded yet? I'm wondering if it
behaves similar to remote control on the full MeetingPlace platform
(which would be very nice to have).

| OK, just installed it... I am in a meeting and the option to 'enable
collaboration' (as it is called on full MP), does not exist...
In fact, the only option is to share desktop, app or part of screen...
Myth busted.

well, i haven't read mails from beggining..
i've read just this one..
so, the fact is:
it does work on MPE 2.0.2..i've just used it and demonstrate on cisco expo
in serbia last week..
after you share desktop, remote user ( other participant in MP session -
meeting ) has an option to ask for control..
then you can allow it or not..after you allow it..he can do
thingzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..
so it works and it's great..
:-)..
regrads..

| Well, I just run it and did not see the button... Granted, I was the
only one in the meeting... I will try with 2 PCs on Monday (the
servers are in staging right now)

| report back please and let us know what you find out... If its not
there I've got a customer thats going to have a corany.. They've been
waiting for this feature for 6 months and I'm schedule to upgrade them
next week. This being the main reason they wanted MPE and of course it
was sold without any technical guidance...

| I have upgraded to 2.0.2 and have tested remote control with a windows
machine controlling a intel mac. The intel mac now works without rosetta
and the remote control was rather easy to use.

| It turned out it was a spam filter on their side blocking the emails.
