4.X runs on Windows. Just the peace of mind I get from not having to
worry if my PBX is going to get infected with malware makes it worth
it. And don't get started with the cisco Security Agent - that's just
a band-aid. Plus the web interface actually works in Firefox now -
managing my old CallManager 4.X cluster was the only reason that I
still ran Internet Explorer.
Also, I've noticed that the speed of the web interface varies
depending on the speed of your computer (although I'd never call it
fast no matter which computer I'm running). That leads me to believe
there's a lot of javascript/java applet/ajax/web2.0 stuff going on.
Can't really blame that on the speed of the database.
