All,

Running 4.1.3 SR4d and we have a site in Venezuela and they are changing their time zone tomorrow to GMT -4.5: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer...d8374.shtml#ucm Unfortunately I was just informed about the change. :-|

I cannot tell from this doc what I'm supposed to do. The bug associated with the CCM update is 'under review' and has no information about what needs to be done. I see the latest OS update does fix the problem for Windows, but what do I do about CCM? Seeing that it changes tomorrow I would think there would be something available to download. SR6 release notes do not mention this issue.

Any insight here?

Thanks!

Keith

Thanks Wes.

I'm not able to see the details of the bug. Information contained within Bug ID CSCsk29702 is currently under review for publishing on Bug Toolkit and will be available soon...

Regardless I know your word is as good as gold. Problem is the server is in Houston where 95% of all other phones registered to it are CST. Is there any workaround you can think of? If I change the time on the server of course this is going to cause problem for the other devices. I don't know if I want to mess with changing the time and time zone on the server and compensate by changing the date/time group timezone for CST devices. That sounds like a headache and I'm not even sure if it would work.

If you have any suggestions they are welcome although it looks like there may not be a workaround. Do you know when a fix is going to be available?

Thanks Wes.

Keith

Hi Keith,

Please have a look at CSCsk29702 in cisco Bug Toolkit on Cisco.com.

The fix was not committted to CM 4.1 so the only recourse is to manually adjust the server clock.

Keith,

Thanks for the info on defect not visible in bug toolkit. I'm working
on that.

In case of 40/60 you can do a very manual workaround:
1. add a new timezone to the TypeTimeZone table in SQL with the new
offset
2. add a new datetime group in CCMAdmin that uses the new timezone you
just added
3. configure VZ phones to use that datetimegroup.

Note this will only work for 7940/60. It will not work for 3rd gen
phones 7941,61,70,71,11,
